October 1st... LOTS of news!!!

Woohoo!!! The day some of you may be waiting for, October 1st which means LOTS of Stampin' Up! News!!! First off, My Digital Studio is available starting today for customers. And I have to say I am LOVING it! Have you ever tried scrapbooking in the middle of a coffee shop? Well I have! I did it this past weekend in fact... creating this page on my laptop! I am currently working on an album from a trip to California that my boyfriend and I took this past February. I haven't had much time to sit and stamp this past week (2 workshops, a trip to Spokane, WA, and regionals last Friday! Whew!). But, luckily for me, I could grab my laptop out of my bag any spare moment I had and work on this album! So at least I'm getting my "fix" in! hehe

Are you interested in getting My Digital Studio for yourself? You can purchase it directly from my store! Or you can get it HALF off by hosting a $400 workshop. Contact me to schedule yours today. I only have a few available spots!

Now what if you already have a papercrafting digital program... you can purchase the files with out having to purchase the program! Prices start as low as $1.95. Check out my store today!

Convention 2010

Sorry I have been absent again... It's been a crazy week for me. All week I have been preparing for my first real workshop last night. And then this evening I am heading over to Spokane to visit family/friends and attend the Coeur d'Alene regionals. I'm so excited to go see my mom. And super excited to attend my first SU! event. Stay tuned this weekend to see the great projects we'll create!!!

In the meantime, I thought I would share the CUTEST commercial from Stampin' Up! for Convention 2010. Are you interested in attending convention with me? Email me today at stampingonbutterflywings@live.com and I will answer your questions. From what I have heard, it's amazing! And being an SU! demo is the best!

Go Seahawks!!!

Here's a card I created for the my Seahawks yesterday for opening day of NFL!!! I got this great idea from Michele over on her blog. I of course had to change my cute build a bear girl's cheerleader costume to changed the colors to Not Quite Navy and Green Galore. The Seahawk on her shirt was hand done. I took the 1/2" circle punch and then punched it to make a leaf type shape... Then I took my paper snips to make it more into the logo... I colored parts with my white gel pen and then used my chalks to color the eye and the parts that are navy. Her pom poms are made by using our new snowflake punch. And tada!!! If you want more detailed directions, please feel free to contact me.

She was the perfect good luck charm for the Seahawks yesterday. We won 28 - 0.

Stamps: Sporting
Ink: Chocolate Chip, Stampin' Pastels
Paper: Kraft, Not Quite Navy, Green Galore, Creamy Caramel, Basic Gray
Die Cuts: Big Shot, Bigz Stampin' Up! Bear, Bigz Stampin' Up! Beary Essentials
Accesories: Silver Elastic Cord, Silver Brads, Paper Snips, Signo White Gel Pen, 1/2" circle punch, Jumbo Snowflake Punch, Trio Flower Punch, Stampin' Dimensiionals

A special visiter...

Well yesterday I had a special visitor in my shower... No, not that kind, get your head out of the gutter. I saw this scary spider on my bathrobe, luckily before I put it on. Talk about jump starting your heart in the morning!!!

This incident gave me inspiration to use some of my new halloween goodies that had arrived the day before. Although I may not be completely arachnophpic, I knew I had to use my Arachnophobia wheel. And to stick with the spider theme, I finished it off by using a few stamps from Eat, Drink & Be Scary.

In order to get just the little spider in all 4 corners of my Old Olive piece, I used my Stampin' Write marker to color in just the cute spider. I then used my Stamp-a-Ma-Jig to get the allignment just right. Also, to get my wheel images perfectly straight and lined up correctly, I used Stampin' Around Wheel Guide.

Well I'm off to create another special card. My inspiration today... Seahawks season opener!!! Go NFL!!! :)

Stamp Set: Arachnophobia Wheel ,Eat Drink & Be Scary
Ink: Basic Black Stampin' Write Marker, Basic Black Stampin Pad, Basic Black Standard Cartridge
Paper: Pumpkin Pie, Perfect Plum, Old Olive
Accessories: Stamp-a-ma-jig, Stampin' Around Wheel Guide, Small Tag Punch, Basic Black 1/4" Grosgrain Ribbon, Stampin Dimensionals

My First Project With My Digital Studio

Woohoo! I got my copy of My Digital Studio yesterday. I haven't had much time to play with it, but I can tell you, it's AMAZING!!! Whether you have just a few minutes to create a project or hours to play around, this is the program for you. I created this card based on a predesigned layout. The only changes I did, was add the three flowers in the top left hand side, and added brads to each flower. I resized two of the flowers to create interest. Don't you wish you could do that sometimes with rubber stamps!

Then, since I wanted to change some things up some more, I added the ribbon. I moved this to cover up a strip of pink paper, and moved it a few layers back (if you've ever used photoshop, you'll know what I mean). Lastly, since I wanted to make it just a little more "me", I changed up the greeting and changed the color.

That's it!!! I created this card within probably 10 minutes. And what's great about this program is if I had this stamp set, I could then go re-create it using paper & stamps (minus resizing the petal pizaz flowers). Or I can have it printed and leave as is, or add additonal elements.

Stay tuned, as I'm sure I will be creating lots of projects using the wonderful My Digital Studio.

Are you interested in getting My Digital Studio for yourself or a friend (would make a great Christmas gift!) Well it's not available for customers until October 1st. You can begin ordering through my website beginning 10/1 for $79.95, or you can host a workshop in October or November, and with a $400 workshop, you can earn My Digital Studio for half off!!! Contact me today to schedule your workshop! My dates are filling up fast with this great offer!

Also, if you are interested in classes to learn how to use My Digital Studio, please contact me at stampingonbutterflywings@live.com If there is enough interest, I plan on holding monthly classes. These classes will be great whether you have very little experience with computers or think you know everything there is to know about My Digital Studio. There will be a few tips and tricks and exclusive layouts. Now doesn't that sound fun!

Bad blogger...

I'm sorry I've been such a bad blogger lately. I had a house guest all last week, and I'm still extremely exhausted from it. Luckily this weekend is a 3 day weekend and here in Seattle, it looks like the beginning of fall. So I expect to be warm and cozy in my apartment while creating some fabulous projects to share with all of you!!!

In the meantime, I'm directing you to one of my favorite blogs. Tara is being generous for her 2 year blog anniversary and giving out some fabulous blog candy. Go check her out!

And come back this weekend to see what I have been making!
